This year’s presentations include a discussion of LWVUS priorities by Leah Edwards (LWVUS liaison) and a review of Election Security by Lauri Wilson, Region I Election Supervisor.  There will also be a presentation on the pros and cons of holding a Constitutional Convention which comes up for a vote every ten years; this is the tenth year and this issue will be on the November ballot. We will have a speaker with expertise on this mater speak to the Convention. If you want to attend the LWVAK Convention, see the registration information below. We hope to see you at the convention. 

 

***LWVAK State Convention Registration Instructions***

 

LWVAK will hold its 2022 State Convention via ZOOM on April 23, 2022.  All League members are  invited.  In order to receive a ZOOM invite, you will need to send the following information in an email to both Judy Andree (jagster42@gmail.com) and Cathleen Rolph (cathleenrolph@gmail.com)    Use the heading “Convention 2022.”

 

1. Your name

2. Your League (Anchorage, Juneau, Kenai, Tanana)

3. Your daytime phone AND you cell phone numbers

4. Your email

5. And indicate whether you are an official convention delegate (your local league has chosen you as a voting delegate) or you are a nonvoting member.

 

Important materials will be available at this website as they are developed where they can be downloaded and printed: www.lwvalaska.org

 

You might want to download both the agenda and the Second Call containing the items that will be up for a vote during Convention.
